Gamma Pi Chapter has been sharing useful, critically
important information with the greater Prince George’s County community for 10
years now through its over-the-air broadcast TV show, Community UPLIFT.
The 30-minute show, which is taped for broadcast, has examined all kinds of issues of community interest, from college preparedness, surviving the pandemic and health maintenance to tough topics like community policing, anti-violence strategies and now mental health.
Maryland Head Football Coach Michael Locksley, a member of
the Gamma Pi Chapter, leads a focused discussion on mental health in the latest
episode of Community UPLIFT, highlighting the impact of mental health
challenges in athletics and the minority community. In addition to Coach
Locksley, this episode includes an appearance by another local Omega man,
Terrence Woodbury, aka “T. Wood,” a trained mental health counselor. Also,
Basileus Eric Fields has a segment on the show where he highlights recent Gamma
Pi activities and upcoming activities. Micheline Bowman serve as the host for this episode.
Community UPLIFT can now be viewed worldwide via livestream broadcast. The show is available on the PGCTV public access channel (Prince George’s County TV) every Friday at 8 p.m and every Saturday at 4 p.m. Customers with Comcast should tune to channel 76 to view the show. Customers with Verizon should go to Channel 42.
